Meet the three session speakers

I’m Lisa Fenton, and I am originally from Michigan, USA but have lived in New Zealand since 1999. My husband Kurt and I have ministered together for 20 years, church planting in Hastings. I am a two-time breast cancer survivor and am active in the Hawke’s Bay community as a facilitator for “Moving On” (A programme for breast cancer survivors). I have written a book about my own journey entitled, “My Gift of Cancer.” I have been married to Kurt for 31 years. We have 3 adult children. I will be speaking on “Who Are You?”

Hi! My name is Sarah, and though I am very nervous, I am really looking forward to joining my mum Beverly, and Mrs. Lisa as a speaker at Girlfriends 2020. Here is a brief summary of myself. I just celebrated my second wedding anniversary with my sweet man, Ezequiel Nunez. I love anything to do with the outdoors, quality time, singing, laughing and serving in youth ministry. My session is going to be on “Anxiety.” “Why?”, you may ask. Because I feel it is a big issue in our world and even more amongst us women, but more than that I want to share on anxiety because of my own life. I feel it may be the biggest battle that a lot of us women face.

My name is Beverly, and I moved to New Zealand in 1992 with my husband Joel and our two sons Daniel and Joseph. February of 96 we were blessed with our daughter Sarah, and shortly after we started Bay Baptist Church in Napier. On March 12, 2019, I was favoured by God to be Nana to Asher Willard, my first grandchild. I love spending time with my husband, family, and being Nana! It is my delight to get to lead Ladies Bible Studies each week with the ladies of our church and help lead worship. I enjoy walking, gardening, cooking and scrapbooking. I feel privileged anytime that I get to study God's Word with women! I will be talking about “Heaven.”

Bay Baptist Church, 81 Gloucester Street, Greenmeadows, Napier
