Isaiah 30:18 Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.
The verse above follows a long description of how utterly rebellious God’s people have been. It describes how they have completely ignored and rejected His words to them. The passage also describes that as a result, they will face captivity. However, in the midst of the mess His people have made, God is STILL desiring to be gracious and merciful to these very same people! Wow! What an amazing God we serve! What motivation to TRUST Him, REST in Him and faithfully FOLLOW Him!
