Beverly and I grow together as we read together. There is one quote which has perhaps impacted our lives more powerfully that any other in recent times. The short statement comes from Tom Newberry’s book, “The 4:8 Principle.” Here it is – Think the thoughts you would think if you trusted God’s promises completely. Can we lure you to read that statement through a few times and really “think” about it?
Even as followers of Jesus Christ, we all struggle to REALLY believe that God’s promises REALLY apply to us in our everyday ups and downs. Right? Our sloppy, incorrect thinking is the cause of most of our failures. Beverly and I have found this short statement to be so helpful in keeping us from doubting what God says is true for US. How many of your thoughts would change if YOU really trusted God’s promises completely? “Think” about it!
